We were at a fraternity party on NKU’s campus and our friends, Allie and Joel introduced us…and here we are!How did the proposal take place?
My family took us on a spring break cruise to Mexico, and Blake, excused us after dinner one night, saying he wanted to take a walk, took me out on the deck in the front of the ship, and proposed to me as the sun was setting. We ran back to the dining room, and shared the news with our family and friends. It was perfect!In what ways have you prepared to make your wedding day unique and special to the two of you?
We are a younger couple so we wanted our wedding to have a younger, yet elegant, feel to it. Our church doesn’t have windows and has an auditorium look to it, so we used this and came up with a “concert in the park” theme. We will be using luminary bags, along with the traditional candelabras, and we will have huge paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling in our decor. The music will be very contemporary and light…totally us and exactly what we wanted!What has been the most challenging experience throughout this process and do you have any advice for future brides?
Seating charts are a nightmare…beware! We had some issues with people, but all in all, it was a great experience. Have fun with it and realize you cannot control everything…why would you want to?How did you go about selecting your vendors?
My mom did all of the coordinating/organizing/researching for us. She searched the internet a lot and made a zillion calls so we could have the best we could afford! We couldn’t have done anything without our amazing parents!View More Featured Weddings:
