Friends of ours decided to start an intramural flag football team at the University of Cincinnati and we ended up on the same team. How did the proposal take place?
We went to Hocking Hills for a weekend get-away and we stayed in a castle and that is where Eric proposed. In what ways have you prepared to make your wedding day unique and special to the two of you?
We incorporated the things that we like in everyday life into our reception. For example, Eric loves ice cream so we had the ice cream bar and I love Skyline so we had coneys as our late night snacks. They really gave our reception a personal touch. What has been the most challenging experience throughout this process and do you have any advice for future brides?
The most challenging thing for us was thinking that we had everything planned for a certain number of people to attend and then after receiving the RSVP’s the number was different than we expected. It still worked out great, but whether you have more or less people attending than what you planned, you have to be prepared to make changes late in the planning process. How did you go about selecting your vendors?
We had seen our photographer’s (Bluebird Photography) beautiful work with two of our friends’ weddings and we decided long before we were even engaged to have her for our wedding. So that choice was easy. Our matron of honor does work for the florist (Courtenay Lambert Florals) so that was a simple decision as well. Steve Bender (our DJ) was at a bridal show so we decided to meet with him and we knew right away that he would do a great job since all of the DJs in his company have professional experience on the radio. We went to two different cake tastings based on online price inquiries and A Spoonfulla Sugar won us over with their absolutely great cake and presentation during our tasting. Our lighting was a recommendation by Megan at McHales. We felt comfortable with them since Megan had worked with them previously and they were familiar with the venue. They were very accommodating to what we wanted for our reception.View More Featured Weddings:
